16 Weeks!!!

Ryan and I just had our 16 week appointment. Our baby was moving quite a bit and the Doctor had to chase the heartbeat. Also, a few days earlier I had an ultrasound to rule out any problems with my gallbladder. I begged the ultrasound tech to just take a peak and see if she could tell what the sex of the baby was. So we are now about 85-90% sure of the sex of our baby. The results will be revealed after the 20 week ultrasound. The baby was moving quite a bit on ultrasound too. I can't wait to feel the movement- I think I feel flutters every now and then. Finally my nausea is starting to improve, but I still have waves of pretty bad nausea. I am weaning myself from the Zofran. I still have not had any food cravings. I do eat and drink things that I usually did not before I was pregnant. I have to have my chocolate milk in the morning and a gummi snack at some point in the day. My weight is right on track, as I have gained 6 pounds up until this point.
Ryan and I just got back from a nice relaxing vacation in Florida. Our friends Derek and Stacie had a beautiful beach wedding. No more vacation time until maternity leave. Also, Ryan has been busy getting the Wag Factory up and running. The grand opening will be June 6th. I will post pictures from the event. Just check out the web cams once they are up and running at www.wagfactory.com. We are so excited to have a business that we love so much.

  1. Hi Missy! I don't know if you remember me from high school but this is Mauria Smith (formerly Beck). When I have some downtime from running after my 10 month old, I look at blogs from old high school classmates. I saw that you and your husband opened a doggy daycare. Congrats! I just wanted to extend a hand, in case you need any advice or anything on running your daycare. I've worked for Tender Loving Pets Doggy Daycare here in Indy for 3 years, and it has been open for over 10 years. My boss is awesome, and is always willing to help with any advice someone just starting out needs. Good luck with your new business and the baby on the way!
P.S. I LOVE the name "Wag Factory"!

  2. Hey...sorry I am new to this whole blogging thing and just realized that I had a comment. Thanks for the congrats on the doggy daycare. We have been open three weeks now and doing better than expected. I will have to let my husband Ryan know that you have experience. I am sure he may need some advice. You can always watch the dogs play at www.wagfactory.com on the wagcams. They can be so funny.
