Sophie makes a comeback!!!

So I just wanted to let everyone know that my niece Sophie that had heart surgery for a rare disorder called ALCAPA is now doing well. She had a follow-up ECHO and her heart function is normal. She only has a minimal scar on her heart. They were also able to get her off 3 of her heart medications. Please keep her in your prayers. We love our nieces and nephew so much.

23-25 weeks!!

25 Weeks

23 Weeks

So Ryan and I have made it to 25 weeks so far today. We had our 24 week appointment last week and everything is looking great. I am gaining weight right on target and am measuring just right. I am definately feeling Kinsey move alot more- she is kicking up a storm. Ryan is also able to feel her kick (or punch). We are now waiting to get the nursery furniture in so that we can begin getting everything together. We have a stroller and car seat- hopefully we have enough room in the Lexus! Stay tuned for further updates!!

Crib Shopping!

So Ryan and I were able to go up to Columbia, SC today to finally look at cribs. We weren't a fan of the cribs at Babies R' Us. Since that is the only baby store nearby, we had to make the trip. We had found a crib we both agreed on online- but of course ended up buying a completely different crib. We got the matching dresser and of course a glider for the nursery. I can't wait until the nursery is done. Our next task is to register for everything else we need.

I am behind on the belly shots, so here they are:

Kinsey's First Video!

20 Weeks!!!

It's A GIRL!!! Ryan and I had our 20 week U/S this week and finally confirmed that we are having a girl....Kinsey!!! She looked absolutely perfect on U/S. At one point she was even sucking her thumb. She was very active after my one and only Mt. Dew that I drank before going in. I can definitely feel her moving around more. I love the U/S picture where she looks like she is in deep thought....maybe she will grow up to be a doctor like her mom or a business owner like her dad. She is the cutest baby I have ever seen and Ryan and I love her so much. At one point in the U/S Ryan laughed and the sound of his voice made her jump....I know who is going to be disciplining her the most. Well we are half way there...another 20 more weeks and we will finally get to meet out little girl!!!

16 Weeks!!!

Ryan and I just had our 16 week appointment. Our baby was moving quite a bit and the Doctor had to chase the heartbeat. Also, a few days earlier I had an ultrasound to rule out any problems with my gallbladder. I begged the ultrasound tech to just take a peak and see if she could tell what the sex of the baby was. So we are now about 85-90% sure of the sex of our baby. The results will be revealed after the 20 week ultrasound. The baby was moving quite a bit on ultrasound too. I can't wait to feel the movement- I think I feel flutters every now and then. Finally my nausea is starting to improve, but I still have waves of pretty bad nausea. I am weaning myself from the Zofran. I still have not had any food cravings. I do eat and drink things that I usually did not before I was pregnant. I have to have my chocolate milk in the morning and a gummi snack at some point in the day. My weight is right on track, as I have gained 6 pounds up until this point.
Ryan and I just got back from a nice relaxing vacation in Florida. Our friends Derek and Stacie had a beautiful beach wedding. No more vacation time until maternity leave. Also, Ryan has been busy getting the Wag Factory up and running. The grand opening will be June 6th. I will post pictures from the event. Just check out the web cams once they are up and running at www.wagfactory.com. We are so excited to have a business that we love so much.
